01 — What We Collect
We only collect what we need.
We collect the minimum information needed to deliver your cleaning service reliably and safely. Here is a precise breakdown:
Booking & account details — Your name, email, phone number, property address, service preferences, and any access codes you provide (stored with encryption).
Payment information — Processed exclusively by our PCI-DSS certified payment partner. We never store your full card number or CVV on our servers.
Device & usage data — IP address, browser type, and pages visited, collected via cookies to improve site performance only. This data is never used to identify you personally.
Communications — Messages you send via our contact form, email, or chat. Stored securely to help us resolve queries and improve our service.
02 — How We Use It
Your data powers your service — nothing else.
We use the information we collect exclusively to deliver and improve your LumiClean experience:
Schedule, confirm, and manage your cleaning appointments.
Match you with the right vetted specialist for your property type.
Send booking confirmations, reminders, and post-visit summaries.
Process payments securely and generate invoices on your behalf.
Respond to your support queries and resolve any concerns promptly.
Improve our platform using anonymised, aggregated analytics data.
We will never use your personal data to serve third-party advertising, sell it to data brokers, or share it with marketers. Your information belongs to you.
03 — Data Sharing
We don’t sell data. Full stop.
LumiClean does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only in the following strictly limited circumstances:
Assigned cleaning professionals — Your name, address, and service notes are shared only with the specific specialist assigned to your booking, for that appointment only.
Payment processors — Your billing data is transmitted directly to our PCI-DSS certified payment partner. We receive only a payment confirmation token.
Analytics tools — Google Analytics with full IP anonymisation. No personally identifiable information is shared with any analytics provider.
Legal obligations — Data may be disclosed when required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users, staff, or the public.
04 — Data Retention
We keep it only as long as needed.
We retain data only as long as your account is active or as required by law. Here is precisely how long we hold each type:
Active account data — held as long as your LumiClean account is open.
Booking history — retained 12 months after your last service for dispute resolution.
Financial records — retained 7 years as required under Indian GST regulations.
Marketing preferences — held until you withdraw consent via ‘Unsubscribe’ in any marketing email.
To request complete data deletion, email privacy@lumiclean.in with the subject ‘Data Deletion Request’. We will fulfil all requests within 30 days.
05 — Your Rights
You are in control.
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
Access — Request a complete copy of all data we hold about you.
Correction — Ask us to update any inaccurate or incomplete information.
Deletion — Request permanent deletion of your account and all associated personal data.
Portability — Receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format (CSV or JSON).
Objection — Opt out of all non-essential data processing, including marketing emails.
Restriction — Request limited processing while a query or complaint is being investigated.
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@lumiclean.in. We will acknowledge within 24 hours and respond fully within 5 business days.
06 — Cookies
Small files, full transparency.
We use cookies to keep our website secure, functional, and easy to navigate. Here is exactly what we use and why:
Essential cookies — Required for core site functions such as login sessions, booking flows, and secure payment. These cannot be disabled without breaking the site.
Analytics cookies — Help us understand which pages perform well using Google Analytics with full IP anonymisation. No personally identifiable data is captured.
Preference cookies — Remember your settings (such as language) so you don’t have to reset them on every visit.
You can disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings at any time. This will not affect your ability to book or use our services.
07 — Security
Your data is protected at every layer.
We take data security seriously at every level of our technical and operational infrastructure:
All data is transmitted over HTTPS using TLS 1.2 or higher.
Passwords are hashed using industry-standard bcrypt encryption — never stored in plain text.
We conduct regular third-party security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Access to personal data within our team is strictly role-based — only those who need it for their specific role can view it.
In the unlikely event of a data breach, we will notify all affected users and the relevant authority within 72 hours.
If you discover a security vulnerability in our platform, please report it responsibly to security@lumiclean.in.
08 — Policy Changes
We’ll always keep you informed.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our services, technology, or applicable laws. When we make material changes, we will:
Update the effective date at the top of this page.
Notify you by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
Display a prominent notice on our website homepage.
Your continued use of LumiClean after the notice period constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

Is my home address visible to cleaning staff before arrival?
No. Your address is only shared with the specific specialist assigned to your confirmed booking — no one else on our team can access it. Once the appointment is complete, access to your details is automatically revoked.
Can I request that my data be deleted?
Do you share my information with advertisers or third-party marketers?
Are my payment details stored on your servers?
What happens to my data when I close my account?
