Red wine, coffee, pet accidents — some stains feel impossible. With the right technique and timing, most can be fully removed.

Act Immediately — The 5-Minute Rule
The longer a stain sits in carpet fibres, the deeper it sets. Blot (never rub) fresh spills immediately with a clean white cloth. Working from the outside of the stain inward prevents spreading.
Red Wine
Pour cold water onto the fresh stain to dilute it. Blot dry. Apply a paste of liquid dish soap and hydrogen peroxide (1:1), leave for 20 minutes, and blot away. Rinse with cold water.
Coffee
Blot away excess liquid first. Mix one tablespoon of washing-up liquid, one tablespoon of white vinegar, and two cups of warm water. Apply with a cloth, blot repeatedly, and rinse with cold water.
Pet Accidents
Remove any solids first. Apply enzyme cleaner directly to the area — enzymes break down the organic matter that causes both the stain and the lingering odour. Allow to sit for 10–15 minutes, then blot dry. Avoid steam cleaning pet stains before enzyme treatment, as heat sets the proteins permanently.
